The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced the suspension of the strike action embarked upon by members of the corporation’s arm of the National Union of Petroleum and Gas Workers, NUPENG and Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN)
The NNPC in a release sent to media houses, stated that the strike action was called off after an extensive session presided over by Ibe Kachikwu, minister of state for petroleum resources and members of the Unions at NNPC towers, Abuja.

As part of resolutions reached at the meeting, the NNPC and the unions will continue to consult on issues and policies and pledged to work together to resolve the impass.
