…schedules governorship for May 23 with forms at  N50m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, fixing its presidential primary for May 15–16, 2026.

In the schedule issued on Monday night and signed by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the party pegged the expression of interest and nomination forms for presidential aspirants at N100 million.

The APC also scheduled its governorship primary for May 23, with forms priced at N50 million.

According to the timetable, the senatorial primary will be held on May 20, with forms costing N20 million, while the House of Representatives primary is slated for May 18 with forms pegged at N10 million.

Similarly, State House of Assembly primaries have been fixed for May 21, with forms pegged at N6 million.

BusinessDay reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier directed all registered political parties to conduct their primaries between April 23 and May 30, 2026.

The commission also scheduled presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while governorship and state assembly elections were slated for February 6, 2027.

The APC said the sale of forms will commence on April 25 and end on May 2, 2026.

In a separate statement, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, assured members and stakeholders of its commitment to a credible and transparent primary process.
