Globacom rolls out star-studded TV campaign to push everyday connectivity

Globacom has launched two new television commercials aimed at strengthening its position as a reliable network provider while also projecting a bold vision of future connectivity.

The commercials, titled “Road Trip” and “Department of Imagination,” combine storytelling, celebrity appeal and technology-driven themes to show how the company’s services fit into both everyday life and emerging digital experiences.

In “Road Trip,” popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi plays the lead role in a family travel story that highlights common challenges faced by mobile users, especially poor network signals. The storyline shows her frustration during the trip until she switches to Glo, after which connectivity improves instantly.

The advert focuses on practical use cases such as navigation, streaming and staying connected on the move, presenting the network as a dependable partner for customers across different locations. Actress Bolaji Ogunmola also features in the commercial, adding depth to the storyline.

Globacom said the campaign reflects its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted service, with easy access to data plans through its code, which allows users to stay connected without disruption.

The second commercial, “Department of Imagination,” takes a different approach by exploring futuristic possibilities powered by technology. Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo plays the role of a professor guiding viewers through a world where innovation and creativity merge seamlessly.

The advert features scenes of advanced digital experiences, including real-time gaming, smart technology applications and creative processes enhanced by connectivity. Celebrity chef Hilda Baci and reality TV star Bamike Adenibuyan, also known as Bam-Bam, appear in the commercial, demonstrating how technology can transform everyday activities.

Through this campaign, Globacom aims to position itself not only as a telecom provider but also as a driver of innovation in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy.

Such campaigns are becoming increasingly important as telecom operators compete for customer loyalty in a market where service quality and digital experience are key differentiators.

With both commercials, Globacom delivers a unified message that reliable connectivity is no longer just about making calls or browsing the internet, but about enabling lifestyles, creativity and future possibilities.

The company said the new TVCs reinforce its vision that the future of communication is already here and that it is powered by seamless, accessible technology.
