The Werblack Synergy Cup Tournament 2025 lived up to expectations as one of the most vibrant and unifying sporting events organised by the Island AllStars Sports Club in Lagos.

The tournament brought together members, partners and sports enthusiasts in a celebration of football, friendship and community spirit.

The initiative was championed by the company’s chairman/CEO, Okechukwu Uche-Ukah, whose passion for sports and social development played a central role in bringing the competition to life.

The journey began with a colourful unveiling ceremony, where the club presented the official logo, mascot, fixtures and participating teams, marking the final phase of preparations.

The Synergy Cup kicked off at the Lagos Business School Arena, delivering six weekends of competitive football. Four teams, Beats Electronics, Wiz Clothings, Lugna Properties and Drexel Apartments, featured in the tournament.

Ike Okorafor, the club’s director of sports, also commended the organisation of the tournament, describing it as a platform designed to strengthen bonds among members while promoting fitness and excellence.

“This competition represented teamwork and passion. It showed that sport remains one of the strongest tools for unity and positive engagement. We want this to serve as a benchmark for AllStars clubs across Nigeria,” he said.

Across the six-week event, players showcased skill, determination and sportsmanship, while fans and club members turned out in strong numbers each weekend. The only break came on November 15, when the club hosted a multi-sports event.
