22 years of democracy: Poverty, insecurity dealing deadly blow on Nigerians

Twenty-two years ago, on May 29, 1999, Nigeria returned to civil rule. The military which had held power for many years decided to relinquish the power. But the country has yet to wean itself off the problems left behind by the “khaki boys”. In fact, things have grown worse. There can be no b
