2027: Wike’s PDP faction fixes presidential form at N51m

… Female aspirants to pay N1m across all offices

The Wike faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has fixed its presidential form at N51m, while the primary was set May 17 to 18, 2026, wWike hile governorship is slated for May 27.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had in accordance with section 84 of the 2026 Electoral Act, directed all political parties to submit list of candidates on or before May 30, 2026.

According to the timetable for the 2027 General Election released by Umar Bature, the party’s National Organising Secretary of the faction, shows that primaries for House of Representatives will take place on May 21, Senate May 23 and State House of Assembly on May 25.

Aside from pegging the cost of the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form for President at N51m, it also pegged that of the governorship, at N21 million and Senate N6 million.

House of Representatives, 4 million naira, State House Assembly N3 million, while female aspirants are to pay only the cost of Expression of Interest across offices which is N1 million

According to the timetable, the sale of forms begins on April 27, and closes on May 4.

It the timetable also sets May 11, for screening of State and National Assembly aspirants while 12th of May is scheduled for the screening of governorship and Presidential aspirants.
