2027: ADP open e-membership registration portal, to conduct primaries in May.

The Actions Democratic Party (ADP) have said it has opened up e-membership registration portal on it website for existing and intending party members.

In an exclusive chat with BusinessDay political desk in Abuja, Sani Dawop, the National Publicity Secretary of ADP said the party primary election dates will be fixed in May this year.

“I want to use this opportunity to inform you that Action Democratic Party ADP has launched it e-membership drive nationwide. All intending members and existing members are to register on the platform of the party via its website, www.adp.ng for the validation of the existing membership or new membership into the actions democratic party ADP.

“All the requirements are there as you open the website to register.

The membership registration is seamless and very easy and within 5 minutes, you can register and become a member of the ADP, the credible alternative, the party that offered the best choice to Nigerians to provide good leadership and good governance for the betterment of the country. And very soon, the timetable for congresses nationwide for the election of party officers up to right from wards to National convention will be released.

Meanwhile, the primary election of the party to elect members into parliament, to the houses of assembly, house of representative, senate governorship and presidential candidate will take place sometimes in May. All details are to be released very soon.

Similarly, the ADP has urge the Inter-Parties advisory council IPAC to hasten its called for the amendment of the Electoral Act before the commencement of the party primaries.

According to Sani, if any amendment of 2026 Electoral Act would take place, it musy be before the commencement of party primaries for 2027 elections because rules can not be change the once the game starts.

“At this stage, if any amendment of 2026 Electoral Act would take place, it must be before commencement of party primaries for 2027 elections because you cannot change the rule once the game starts.

“So IPAC should be realistic and if to be taken seriously with their demands, then they MUST PUSH NOW not after primaries commencement.
