Beloved brethren in the Lord,

This sacred season of Easter is not merely a time of remembrance; it is a divine encounter. It is the moment where eternity broke into time, where death was confronted and defeated, and where the power of God was revealed in its fullest expression through the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We are not gathered to celebrate an event alone; we are gathered to partake in a mystery: the mystery of life victorious over death.

At the 2026 Resurrection Night Service of the Hotonu Mother Church, held at the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Ifelodun Ijeh Police Barracks, Obalende, Lagos, under the theme “Alive through His resurrection” (1 Peter 1:3–5), the Spirit of God moved with clarity and power. Through the ministration of Supt Gen. Ap. Pro. (Dr) O. I. Solomon, we were reminded that resurrection is not a doctrine to be admired from afar; it is a life to be experienced.

The resurrection power is real. It is present. And it is available.

Brethren, the question before us is urgent: are we truly living as those who are alive through His resurrection? Or have we reduced this divine victory to mere tradition?

The empty tomb is not silent but it speaks. It speaks to every chain, every burden, every limitation, declaring that they have no final authority over the believer. It calls us out of spiritual slumber into a higher life: a life of power, purity, and purpose.

In these times of uncertainty, moral decline, and economic hardship, many hearts are weary and many lives are burdened. But Easter reminds us that God’s power is not diminished by the condition of the world. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is still at work: bringing life where there is dryness, hope where there is despair, and light where there is darkness.

This is the heritage of the believer.

As members of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, we are called to be more than observers; we are called to be carriers of this resurrection power. Our lives must reflect the evidence of transformation. Our walk must demonstrate holiness. Our words must carry authority. Our presence must bring light.

The resurrection is a call to separation, from sin, from complacency, from spiritual mediocrity. It is a call to consecration, a deeper alignment with God’s will and purpose. It is a call to rise.

Rise above fear.
Rise above doubt.
Rise above every limitation that seeks to define you.

For if Christ has risen, then nothing in your life is permitted to remain buried.

Brethren, the power of the resurrection is not only for victory—it is for responsibility. We are entrusted with the mandate to reflect Christ in a broken world. We must extend love where there is hatred, bring peace where there is conflict, and offer hope where there is despair.

Let this Easter mark a turning point. Let it be the moment you step into a deeper dimension of your faith. Let it be the moment you embrace the fullness of what it means to be alive in Christ.

Do not return from this season the same way you entered it.

As we celebrate the risen King, I declare over your lives: every dead situation receives life, every closed door is opened, and every weary heart is strengthened. May the power of His resurrection bring healing to our land, restoration to our families, and revival to our souls.

Walk in this victory. Live in this power. Stand in this truth.

Christ is risen. He is risen indeed.

Peace, power, and grace be unto you all.

Happy Easter!
