Torty Kalu, the PSC spokesman, in a statement issued Tuesday in Abuja, said the screening exercise will run from March 9 to April 18, 2026, across all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the PSC, only candidates who completed the online recruitment registration process are eligible to participate in the next phase.
Applicants have been advised to log on to the official recruitment portal,
npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, to check their application status and print out required documents ahead of their scheduled screening date.
“The documents to be printed and presented at the screening venue include the Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form.
“At the screening centres, candidates are expected to present their Invitation Slip bearing their assigned table number, alongside the Credentials Screening Form.
“They must also provide an original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’ Level certificate (GCE/SSCE), birth certificate or declaration of age, and a certificate of local government or state of origin”, the statement said.
It added that applicants seeking specialist positions are required to present relevant trade test certificates.
“In addition, candidates must submit a duly completed and signed Guarantors Form with attached photocopies and passport photographs of referees”, it noted.
The Commission further directed applicants to neatly package original and duplicate copies of their credentials in two separate white flat files, each accompanied by recent passport photographs.
“For the physical screening, candidates are to appear at their designated venues dressed in white T-shirts, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings. Screening will be conducted at locations specified on each candidate’s invitation slip within their respective states or the FCT.
Hashimu Argungu, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, reaffirmed that the recruitment exercise is entirely free of charge and carries no financial obligation. He assured that the process would be conducted with transparency and accountability.
Argungu warned applicants to be cautious of impostors and online scammers seeking to exploit the recruitment exercise to defraud unsuspecting candidates. He stressed that anyone found engaging in fraudulent activities would be arrested and prosecuted.
