President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday announced a ban on federal civil service recruitments to contain soaring recurring expenditure which had, over the years, consumed almost 70 per cent of annual budgets.
The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has shortlisted candidates for its ongoing recruitment exercise.
The commission, in January, opened applications for 70 vacancies in 19 federal ministries, departments and agencies.
