Prepaid customers of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko DisCo) will experience a 10-hour service downtime on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, as the company conducts a scheduled system maintenance upgrade.

According to a statement by Babatunde Lasaki, general manager of corporate communications at Eko Disco, the downtime will occur between 2:00 pm and 11:59 pm and will affect only the payment platform for prepaid users.

Electricity supply, however, will remain uninterrupted.

The company advised prepaid customers to recharge their meters before the downtime to avoid any service disruption.

Postpaid customers can continue to make payments through all approved channels during the period.

“This system maintenance is part of our efforts to improve our overall customer experience. On completion of the upgrade, our customers will have access to their payment and consumption history, a simplified payment process, and a user-friendly self-care portal for enquiries and resolutions. We will also introduce a new customer-friendly postpaid bill format,” Lasaki said.

Lasaki apologised for any inconvenience the service interruption may cause and urged customers to contact Eko DisCo only through official customer service channels for support or enquiries.
