BusinessDay will host the February edition of its SME Clinic series with a focus on helping entrepreneurs strengthen their visibility and sales without overstretching limited resources.
Themed “Practical Marketing Strategies for SMEs on a Budget,” the virtual session is designed to equip business owners with realistic, cost-effective approaches to marketing in today’s challenging economic environment. As rising operating costs continue to squeeze margins, many small businesses struggle to maintain consistent brand visibility. This edition will address that gap with practical direction tailored to the Nigerian market.
Speaking ahead of the event, Linda Ochugbua, Digital Sales Manager at BusinessDay, said the February edition is centered on solutions that business owners can immediately implement.
“Marketing is no longer optional for SMEs that want to survive and grow. The reality, however, is that many business owners are working with tight budgets. This session is focused on showing them how to be strategic, deliberate, and consistent with the resources they already have,” she said.
According to her, SME Clinic continues to evolve in response to the most pressing needs of entrepreneurs.
“The February edition is about practicality. We are bringing together professionals who understand the market and have built brands from the ground up. Participants will walk away with clear direction, not just theories,” Ochugbua added.
The session will be moderated by Nneoma Ogbonna and will feature Ochuko Newton, CEO of The Business Plus; Omolara Olarerin, CEO of Pocketfood; Damilare Davola, Investment Banking and Business Analyst; and Eniola Taiwo, Founder of Smartsave. The speakers will share lessons from their individual journeys, highlighting affordable marketing channels, customer retention strategies, and brand positioning techniques that deliver measurable results.
SME Clinic remains a key initiative of BusinessDay aimed at supporting small and medium-scale enterprises with relevant conversations, expert guidance, and practical direction for growth.
The February SME Clinic will stream live on BusinessDay Television’s YouTube channel, BDTV, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 12:30pm WAT. Entrepreneurs and business managers across sectors are encouraged to participate.
