Lakunle Runsewe, chief executive officer (CEO) of Stretford Hill Limited, has reiterated the importance of well-executed workspaces to employees’ performance and the overall workflow of an organisation.

“Well‑executed spaces contribute directly to how effectively people can carry out their responsibilities,” Runsewe stated during the recent commissioning of the new Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) headquarters in Abuja.

The New NRS Headquarters provides a modern workspace that supports coordination, productivity, and long‑term institutional effectiveness, serving professionals tasked with managing a critical component of Nigeria’s economic framework. “When environments are designed and delivered with that in mind, they become an active part of performance.”

According to Runsewe, the project will strengthen the operational environment of the NRS, and further support Nigeria’s revenue administration to reflect a growing focus on infrastructure that enhances institutional effectiveness.

“Projects of this scale go beyond construction. They require a clear understanding of how the space will be used every day. Our focus was to ensure that the internal environments support efficiency, clarity, and ease of use for the professionals who will occupy them,” Runsewe stated.

Stretford Hill Limited delivered the interior fit‑out of the new NRS headquarters in Abuja, which was recently commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside Zacch Adedeji, the chief executive chairman of the NRS, senior government officials, industry leaders, and key stakeholders.

Runsewe stated that the commissioning of the facility underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening revenue administration infrastructure and enhancing institutional efficiency through purposeful investment in the built environment.

According to him, Stretford Hill Limited translated design intent into functional spaces tailored to the operational needs of the Revenue Service as the interior fit‑out partner. “The scope included spatial planning, finishes, and system integration, all executed to create a seamless, efficient, and performance‑driven working environment.”
