Nigerians desirous of commencing their university education in the 2014/15 academic session have been advised to look no further than the Indian Education Expo scheduled to hold June 18-19, 2014 at the Nikoms Event Centre, Yaba, Lagos. Representatives of leading universities from India will be at the two-day event to interact with student candidates, parents as well as guardians and other visitors on available opportunities for Nigerians who wish to study in globally recognised universities.
The event presents a unique opportunity for students who have their focus clearly set on starting their university education in the next academic session and concluding their undergraduate programmes within the specified timeframe, said Badri Prasad, director of operations, EduSoft Associates Limited, organisers of the expo. “What we are offering Nigerians is a platform to interact directly with representatives of some of the best universities from India, conduction of on-the-spot assessment, and if deemed qualified, offered provisional admission. With this process, qualified candidates could fast-track the admission process and commence their university education by September 2014,” he added.
EduSoft Associates is a Nigerian company with Indian origins, offering a broad spectrum of solutions in the education sector. Since the beginning of this year, the company has facilitated the admission of about 400 Nigerians who are currently studying in universities across India.
“Our experience in the last one year stands us in good stead to offer very professional services to Nigerians. The students who are currently studying courses ranging from Engineering to Medicine and new age courses such as Animation, are a great testament to the value that we offer to help Nigerians pursue their dream courses that will lead to fulfilling careers,” added Prasad.
Universities in India have attained global acclaim in the quality of the graduates that they produce, making these graduates well sought after, stated Prasad. “India is now regarded as one of the leading sources of innovation in technology and industry. The universities and their products have been the catalyst of many of these innovations.
“There is a strong link between universities and industries: the universities know what industries need and therefore empower their students to be ready for the market as they step out of the classroom,” stated Prasad. The leading role India is playing in the medical sciences and information and communications sectors are directly linked to the quality of graduates produced by Indian universities, added Mr. Prasad.
