The total number of registrations and National Identity Numbers (NINs) issued by the National Identity Management Commission has surged by over 400 percent in one year. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), it rose by 439.1 percent to 27.1 million in 2021 from 5.0 million in 2020.
