The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for December 2018. The report put December 2018 inflation rate at 11.44 percent year on year compared to 11.28percent in Nov 2018 and 15.37 percent in December 2017.

Food inflation for the month of December also stood at 13.56 percent compare to 13.30 percent in November 2018 while core inflation stood 9.80 percent compared to 9.80 percent in November 2018.
