The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has said it will not relent on its quest to boost Human capital development in the country’s financial sector even as it begins a new journey into the future.

The global professional body reputable for churning out top grade finance managers says after 10 years of successful outing in Nigeria, it’s now more committed to focus on its future looking theme, in line with ACCA’s strap line of Think Ahead.

In a statement released to BusinessDay to mark a successful decade anniversary, Toyin Ademola, head of ACCA Nigeria explained that since her appointment the Association has recorded a resounding achievement in its contribution to the country’s economy, adding that this is has always been organisation’s goal and it will never change.

“I was appointed in 2006, and it’s been a decade of which I am very proud. The ACCA Nigeria team could not have done this alone. So our events bring together the people and organisations that have helped to make ACCA such a success over the last 10 years – the members, students, employers and learning providers who have all worked to ensure the country has the accountants it needs to help the economy grow,” Ademola said.

Helen Brand, chief executive of ACCA was quoted as saying, “This is an exciting time for ACCA and for Nigeria, so we hold great optimism for the future. I am delighted to be taking part in celebratory events that look ahead to 2025 and beyond.

“Over the last 10 years, we have always been keen to work with others to build on ACCA’s success.  This vision will take us forward into the next 2025 years, to ensure Nigeria’s economic growth well into the next decade and beyond,” Brand concluded.

The statement further revealed that the Brand will be leading a delegation of senior ACCA staff to celebrate the organisation’s 10 year anniversary in Nigeria.
