Amadu Sule, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TMDK GROUP of Companies, has donated 17,000 bags of food items to his immediate community in Zamfara State as his Ramadan Welfare Package to the community.

The items donated by the business mogul and philanthropist include 7,000 bags of rice (50kg and 25kg) and 10,000 bags of Samovita, to be shared among 15,000 beneficiaries in Talata and 2,000 beneficiaries in Kaura Namoda.

Speaking during the flag-off distribution of the food items in Talata Mafara on Sunday, the TMDK boss, stated that it’s a basic responsibility to give back to his people and also a necessary call on well-to-do individuals to assist, especially during the Holy month of Ramadan.

Sule, represented by the General Manager of TMDK TERMINAL, Alhaji Sa’adu Aliyu Modaci, recalled that the package was initiated back in 2006 with 100 bags, but today the distribution hits 17,000 bags, which according to him is worth appreciating.
“Ramadan is a blessed month, a month of mercy, sacrifice, patience, and compassion. It is a period when we are reminded that whatever Allah has given us is a trust, and part of that trust is to care for one another”, he added.

On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of the company, he urged the beneficiaries of the package to pray for the donor and the company, stressing that nothing is needed in return other than their prayers.
Other personalities, such as Marafan Mafara, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Marafa, and the Galadiman Mafara, Alhaji Malami Abubakar Sibo, who spoke during the distribution, expressed appreciation to the donor and prayed that Allah rewards him abundantly.

Beneficiaries of the gesture, who are mainly household heads, widows, orphans, low-income families, unemployed youths, and other economically vulnerable individuals left the venue in jubilation with different types of food items.
