Lagos, Nigeria — Avon HMO, one of Nigeria’s leading health management organizations, has celebrated the winners of its #AvonBaby2025 contest at a prize-giving ceremony in Lagos. The event marked the close of the seventh edition of the company’s beloved annual maternal and child health campaign, an initiative designed to promote creativity, positive parenting, and infant wellbeing.
Through the theme, “Denim Baby,” the company encouraged parents to showcase playful, age-appropriate interpretations of denim fashion. The result was an array of standout entries that blended originality, personality, and heartwarming expressions of childhood joy. The campaign recorded strong participation and digital engagement across Avon HMO’s platforms, reinforcing the company’s commitment to family-centred initiatives that advocate for healthy living in creative ways.
Winners of the contest received cash prizes, customised baby hampers, and other rewards in recognition of their creativity and were visibly pleased with the outcome. Love Morolani, whose baby clinched the first-place prize, expressed her excitement.
“We are extremely excited to have won the Avon Baby Denim Edition. Coming first was truly special for our family. The inspiration came naturally—our baby always says she wants to be a rockstar, and denim felt like the perfect fit for that idea. We are grateful to Avon HMO for this opportunity,” she said.
Second-place winner Nkechi Ogbonna described the experience as both meaningful and rewarding.
“It was an honour to participate in the competition, and we are very proud of our baby. When we heard about the denim-on-denim theme, his father—who is very passionate about fashion—came up with the concept. After exploring several ideas, we settled on a look that truly reflected his style. We are grateful to Avon HMO for the recognition and the experience,” she shared.
Speaking on the significance of the campaign, Osa Imasogie, Chief Executive Officer of Avon HMO, reaffirmed the company’s long-standing dedication to families and early childhood wellbeing.
“Our Avon Baby campaign reflects our belief that healthy beginnings matter. For seven years, this initiative has provided a platform for parents to express love, creativity, and pride in their children while reinforcing the importance of infant health. This year once again demonstrated the power of community, creativity, and shared values, and we are proud to continue supporting families through initiatives like this,” he said.
