Kayode Alabi Leadership and Career Initiative is pleased to announce that global payment access is now live on Rafiki X, the premium version of Rafiki AI, our generative AI career advisor and counselor designed to expand access to career guidance for underserved and displaced young people across Africa and beyond.

This development marks an important milestone in building a more sustainable future for the platform, allowing users across different countries to subscribe directly and support wider access for those who cannot afford career support. Early testing of the payment system has already begun with selected users, and the first successful subscriptions have now been completed.

“I have personally completed my own subscription successfully and will continue to maintain a monthly subscription of $4 until the platform reaches stronger sustainability.

This is both a practical test and a commitment to the future we are building,” says Hammed Kayode Alabi, Founder of Kayode Alabi Leadership and Career Initiative.

Launched as Africa’s first generative AI career advisor and counselor for underserved and displaced young people, Rafiki AI has already reached over 11,000 users across 60 countries, exchanged more than 90,000 messages, and answered over 41,000 career-related questions. In just one month, Rafiki X has reached 750 users, completed 52 CV reviews across 17 countries, and continues to expand personalised support for young people navigating education, careers, and work opportunities.

The premium version offers advanced features including CV review, document upload, speech-to-text support, and more personalised career conversations. Every $4 subscription directly contributes to keeping access free for others.

One subscription can unlock approximately 800 career messages for around 200 users, enabling young refugees and underserved young people to continue using the WhatsApp AI career chatbot at no cost.

This model also creates a practical pathway for diaspora communities and global supporters to contribute meaningfully by helping redistribute opportunity through technology.

By subscribing, users are not only accessing premium features but also supporting those furthest behind to continue receiving guidance for free.

Friends in the diaspora and global supporters are now invited to test the platform by signing up, going premium, and helping assess the payment experience through Rafiki X at rafikigen.ai. Users who are unable to subscribe can still continue using the free version.
