Blessing’s book “They Told Us To Dream” spurs out the dreamer in anyone willing to dream.
It encourages everyone to take bold steps dreaming and take actions for those dreams to be actualized. As dreamers, we will experience different challenges that distract us from the dream God has entrusted to us. However, in the book Blessing reminds us to hold on to the Grace and strength of God that will help in building capacity to remain on course.
Blessing encourages us to adequately prepare and equip ourselves to actualize our dreams as the time will come when we must take actions. We need not allow such moments to become a tragedy. There is a huge need to surround ourselves with inspiration that will help the journey to dream actualisation become a less rocky one as it can get discouraging along the way, the chatter will keep distracting and make us feel our dreams are a waste of time and unrealistic. We constantly need those sources of inspiration to keep us going and growing in the actualization of our dreams.
In addition, we need to and not forget to celebrate ourselves for every accomplished stride. Trust me; you will need that little break to continue on that journey of dream actualization.
I have a personal testimony
“I have always wanted to share with people what I am passionate about through social media. On my own, I just keep researching and building myself, not thinking about a time it would happen. While reading the chapter on building capacity, I realized Blessing was talking about me as I never saw it that way. At that moment, I discovered the dreamer in me and I am still dreaming. Finally, the moment came unannounced to actualize one of my dreams. Was I prepared? I was partially prepared, and I updated myself to make the moment a success. There were obstacles on the way like it happens for every dreamer. I felt nervous, scared and unqualified. Did I mention, I almost decided not to be a part of the session anymore due to my fears? However, I got to the chapter where Blessing talked about
“Always remember that the dream is for a season and must be achieved timeously”.
The encouragement from that line enough fired me up to get back at it and I am glad I did. The session was a success and I sure celebrated myself afterward ‘cos greater opportunities will come and I need to get prepared for them”
For anyone, that has had a dream, wants to dream or feels that they need to dream big and learn practical steps to actualize those dreams, this is the book
Happy Dreaming
