local rice production in the country rose to 9 million metric tons in 2021 from about 5.4 million metric tons in 2015
Usman Dunama, director, Green House in Jigawa, has said that the Federal Ministry of Agriculture will distribute 250 pumps to dry season farmers to boost rice production.
Dunama made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse.
