Our abductors spoke Hausa and Yoruba – Naheebah’s father

Mansur Al-Kadriyar, the father of the six sisters recently freed from a kidnappers’ den in Abuja, recounted his experience.
Al-Kadriyar, along with his six daughters, were abducted from their home in the Bwari area of Abuja a few weeks ago.

He was eventually released with the condition to bring a ₦60 million ransom for the release of his six daughters.

In a tragic turn of events, the kidnappers, demanding the ransom, killed the eldest daughter, Naheebah, due to a delay in payment. The remaining five girls were eventually released after the ransom was paid.

In an interview with Arise TV, Al-Kadriyar shared that the abductors spoke Hausa fluently and had some proficiency in Yoruba.
He recounted the night the kidnappers arrived at his home around 1 am, prompting him to urgently seek help from his brother, Abdfatai. His brother swiftly mobilised and accompanied the police to the house. Tragically, during a gun battle with the officers, Abdfatai was shot by the kidnappers.

Al-Kadriyar detailed how he and his daughters walked barefooted for hours through the bush until they reached the kidnappers’ leader. It was at this point that negotiations for the ransom commenced.
