United States Congress has affirmed President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory over President Donald Trump.

The counting of Vermont’s three electoral votes put Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris over the 270-threshold needed to win the presidency.

The certification comes after Pro-Trump rioters invaded the US Capitol on Wednesday, this was just hours after the Democratic Party also emerged victorious in the state of Georgia two seats run-off senatorial election that ensured that the party have majority and control the senate.

With this certification Biden has been cleared to succeed President Donald Trump who has since the 2020 presidential election refused to concede defeat despite indications from clear figures
