Cameroon, Nigeria’s neighbour, has confirmed its first case of Coronavirus after a 58-year-old French citizen tested positive to the infection.

The Public Health Minister, Manaouda Malachie, said in a statement on Friday that the French man had been placed in isolation at the Central Hospital of Yaounde.

Cameroon is the fourth sub-Saharan African country confirming a coronavirus case after Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa.
