The Senate on Tuesday was compelled to adjourn sitting until another legislative day, following the death of Ja’afaru Illiyasu, a member of the House of Representatives.
It is a usual tradition for the two chambers of the National Assembly to mourn and suspend plenary whenever a lawmaker dies.
