Leading telecoms operator, Airtel Nigeria, has announced the commencement of its 2018 Christmas programme dubbed ‘Airtel Five Days of Love.’

The annual initiative is conceived to identify with and empower less privileged persons in communities where Airtel operates.

Since the commencement of the initiative four years ago, Airtel has held different outreach programmes, especially its feeding programme, which over 10,000 Nigerians have benefited from.

Airtel says its ‘2018 Five Days of Love’ programme will be held across five different states and over five thousand Nigerians will be fed with hot food in all locations.

The initiative will kick-off on Monday, 10th December under the bridge at Ojuelegba, Lagos and the train will thereafter move to Sokoto at the Sultan Mosque, Opposite Sultan Palace, Sokoto, on Tuesday, 11th December.

On Wednesday, 12th December, over 1,000 underprivileged persons will be fed at the Gyadi Primary School, Kano while the Sango Tipper Garage, Ibadan and Isaac Boro Park, Port Harcourt will also host the Airtel ‘Five Days of Love’ goodie train on Thursday, 13th December and Friday, 14th December, respectively.

Through the ‘Five Days of Love’ programme, Airtel says it is sharing the reason for the season – love – and celebrating with the underprivileged by providing quality, hot meals amidst an electrifying atmosphere of fun, good entertainment and love.

Commenting on the initiative, the telco noted that it is committed to touching the lives of underprivileged persons in the society as well as empowering stakeholders in the communities where it operates.

“As a critical stakeholder in the Nigerian society, Airtel is passionate about uplifting the less privileged and providing support for the vulnerable as this aligns with our overall CSR theme of touching lives and improving the standard of living of the less privileged.”
