Funmi Holder, Nollywood actress cum producer, popularly known as Amaka Ade-Williams in Tinsel TV hit series, is getting rave reviews from fans following the release of her movie The Grudge. The movie which has been getting positive reception despite little or no publicity is one of the top Nollywood movies in cinemas currently.
For her debut effort as a producer, it has come as no surprise that people are rating this movie high as it is, no doubt, an exceptional movie. The movie, which tells the lives of two lovelorn spouses from separate marriages and a lonely window intersect as they struggle to deal with a grudge that has festered for so long is a phenomenal movie that deals with the hurt, betrayal, jealousy, greediness, unrequited love, seduction, domestic violence and a lot more.
The plot is super engaging and the careful selection of a handful of actors who bring the screenplay to life is one of the best thing that happened in the movie. The extraordinary interpretation of role by Odun Adekola, ace Yoruba actor, blew the minds of many viewers who are of the opinion that Odun is, no doubt, the favorite character in the movie with his ability to make one laugh like never before.
Out of 10 Yoruba movies produced, Odun Adekola tops the pack in at least nine of them and never fails to deliver an excellent performance which he also brought on board in The Grudge, the movie that happens to be his first English feature.
Just few days after hitting the cinema, the movie is one of the Nollywood movies which record high turnover due to its footfalls across the cinemas in Nigeria.
