At the center of Taipei, capital of Taiwan sits the 11th tallest structure in the world called Taipei 101 Observatory. The skyscraper located in Xinyi District of Taipei City is indeed 101 floors.
Taipei has many high-rise buildings but the iconic Taipei 101 building, towering over other buildings in Taiwan with green colour is jointly owned by a private consortium and Taiwanese government.
Taipei 101 is 508 meters tall, and observers describe the building as a master piece of architecture.
The building has become a tourist attraction for visitors coming to Taiwan. The building is said to attract over 3,500 visitors daily from across the world who get upto 88th floor through a high-speed elevator from 5th floor to oversee the city.
On the 88 floor, international visitors relish the height of the building, taking pictures and enjoying the moment.
Visitors who access to the top of the building pay ticket of 600 Taiwanese dollars each which is equivalent of N25,000. One Taiwanese dollar exchanges for N43 and this means about N90 million daily revenue. It is also said that at peak times, tourists to the building could reach upto 4,000 daily.
On various floors of the building are malls of international brands and dining spots for visitors. All these sites make Taipei 101 a place to behold.
Taipei is a striking city, clean with efficient rail system, with boulevard streets and roads with no smoking vehicles and self obedience to traffic lights by motorists and pedestrians. Trees are seen doting many roads and open spaces giving the city a good breathing views and moments.
A report says over 8.57 million international tourists visited Taiwan in 2025, marking a 9.1% increase from the previous year. There is also a 3D cinema house called IRIDETAIPEI where visitors can experience aerial view of the country in one spot.
