President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian-American basketball star Ejimofor Anosike of the Hong Kong Bull his exceptional performance in the 2026 National Basketball League (NBL) Championship.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, issued a statement noting that Anosike led his team to the NBL title while securing several individual honours. These included the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, the Best International Player award, and the Slam Dunk Champion title.
The President, in his commendation of Anosike’s achievements, stated that the athlete’s success demonstrates exceptional talent, discipline, and resilience. He noted that such milestones on the international stage bring honour to Nigeria and serve as a vital source of inspiration for young athletes across the African continent.
