The Nigerian Air Force has invited candidates who passed its 2025 Zonal General Aptitude Test to attend the Selection Board Interview for recruitment into the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, who disclosed that the list of successful candidates has been published on the Air Force’s official recruitment portal.
According to the statement, the selection interviews will take place at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna from April 27 to June 13, 2026.
The Air Force directed all shortlisted candidates, both trades and non-trades applicants, to adhere strictly to their assigned batch schedules as indicated on the portal.
“The Nigerian Air Force hereby notifies the general public that candidates who were successful in the Zonal General Aptitude Test are invited to attend the Selection Board Interview,” the statement read.
It warned that failure to report on the designated date would result in automatic disqualification.
“Candidates who fail to report on their designated dates will forfeit the opportunity to participate in the Selection Board Interview,” the NAF added.
Reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on recruitment fraud, the Air Force emphasised that the entire enlistment process is free.
“The Nigerian Air Force wishes to emphasise that the entire recruitment process is completely free of charge, and candidates are strongly advised not to make any payment at any stage of the exercise,” Ejodame stated.
The development follows the nationwide Zonal General Aptitude Test conducted on December 5, 2025, which attracted more than 20,000 applicants.
The test was held across 15 centres nationwide, including Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin City, Port Harcourt and Ikeja.
The Air Force said the wide distribution of centres was aimed at ensuring inclusiveness and equal opportunity for applicants nationwide.
NAF noted that the aptitude test remains a critical stage in the recruitment process, stressing that selection is strictly merit-based.
“The Nigerian Air Force remains firmly committed to recruiting the best candidates by merit, as the quality of our personnel is fundamental to operational effectiveness and the successful execution of our constitutional mandate,” the statement said.
