Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State have arrested 20 foreign nationals suspected of entering the Country without valid documentation in the Danbare area of Kumbotso Local Government Area.
Mohammed Hassan Agalama, the State Commandant, disclosed the development during a press briefing on Tuesday, stating that the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence and a coordinated operation by operatives of the Corps.
Agalama said the individuals, believed to be nationals of Sudan, Chad and other neighbouring countries, were unable to present valid travel or identification documents when they were intercepted by security personnel.
According to him, the circumstances surrounding their presence in the area raised security concerns, prompting the command to commence further scrutiny of their activities.
