22&Alfred TV has officially wrapped principal photography for the inaugural season of its non-scripted TV show; IMPROV-ed.
The show, which boasts of housing Nollywood’s greatest Actors, wrapped production on the 23rd of March 2026 with its first season promising 12 distinct episodes, slated for a 2026 release.
IMPROV-ed as the name suggests, is a non-scripted TV show where actors meet their scene partners for the first time on set, are given a prompt and a few minutes to Improv. No script, no rehearsal. Each episode pairs two of Nollywood’s finest talents and drops them in a scene built around a themed prompt.
After having spent months in pre-production, the show’s Creator Desmond Ebuwa Ekunwe is excited to bring this vision to life and to an audience. In his words, “IMPROV-ed was born from a simple truth: Nollywood has some of the most powerful actors in the world, but not all of themare truly seen. This show puts the spotlight exactly where it belongs, on their talent, their instincts, and their brilliance.”
IMPROV-ed is produced by the dynamic group of Desmond Ebuwa Ekunwe, Fisayo Ojabodu, Nneoma Amadi and Bemigho Bella Nadia, and is directed by Mayowa Daramola of How I Met Your Father Naija.
This season brings to center stage, some of Nollywood’s greatest actors including Folu Storms, Desmond Bryce, Etta Jo Maria, Ebunoluwa Oluwarinu, Tj Omusuku, Isoken Aruede, Promise Agbor, Jessica Gabriel Ujah, Mo Amosu, Darasimi Nadi, Wunmi Tuase-Fosudo, Eyiyemi Olivia Rogbinyin, Kayode ‘Jnr’ Ojuolape, Kuchi Chris, Nneoma Amadi, Mojolaoluwa Abayomi, Bobby Ekpe, Chukwu Martin, Oluchi Odii, Sharon Rotimi, Nimi Adekambi, Ejiro Onojaife, Chimsom Chuka, Fadesaye Olateru-Olagbegi and Adeoluwa Akintoba.
IMPROV-ed is set to release on 22&Alfred Tv in 2026, although the official date remains unconfirmed.
22&Alfred Tv blew Nollywood away with its debut short film ‘The Delectable Azeezah Sama’ and other subsequent titles like ‘The Text’ and ‘Baby Girl’.
It is set to do the same in 2026 with two confirmed titles, one of which is IMPROV-ed, the second being a webseries titled Dear Lagos Men.
