The ANOH Gas Processing Company (AGPC) has graduated 110 beneficiaries under its Human Capital Development (HCD) programme, reinforcing its commitment to skills development and local content growth in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

The beneficiaries, drawn from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) NOGIC JQS database, included 35 participants from host and impacted communities, reflecting the project’s focus on inclusive development.

The initiative forms part of AGPC’s broader strategy to build technical capacity, empower youth and support socio-economic growth in collaboration with NCDMB.

Representing Felix Omatsola Ogbe, NCDMB’s Executive Secretary, Esueme Kikile, the General Manager, Capacity Building, commended the programme and urged participants to leverage their newly acquired skills to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Professional training areas included project management, health and safety certification, instrumentation and control, procurement, and rotating equipment operations, while vocational tracks covered welding, scaffolding, crane and forklift operations, rigging, hospitality, and fashion design.
Participants also received training in entrepreneurship, leadership, digital skills, and health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Effiong Okon, AGPC Managing Director, said the initiative reflects the company’s long-term vision beyond gas processing.

“Our vision goes beyond gas processing; we are committed to enabling human potential. The success of these beneficiaries is a testament to what is possible when industry invests in people,” he said.
The 12-month programme, delivered by PM4 Success International, combined classroom instruction with on-the-job training to ensure participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical industry experience.

Industry stakeholders described the programme as a strategic investment in Nigeria’s workforce development.

Sunny Ojieh, representing Pressure Control System Nigeria Limited, said the initiative demonstrates a commitment to building human capital critical to the country’s long-term growth.

The graduation ceremony featured the presentation of certificates and awards, positioning participants to transition directly into the workforce.

AGPC said it will continue to deepen partnerships aimed at strengthening capacity development and advancing local content in Nigeria’s energy sector.
