The First Nigeria Travelpreneur Conference & Expo (TRAVCONEXPO), which debuted last year, is set to unlock global travel opportunities.

The second edition, themed ‘The Next Frontier: Expanding Opportunities in a Connected Travel World,’  will hold on September 3 and 4, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a statement from Oludayo Gideon, Group Managing Director/CEO of Aeroport Group, the parent company of the organizing body, TRAVCONEX Projects Ltd, said this year’s theme has been strategically chosen to align with current trends in the global tourism sector.

Gideon stated, “This theme captures the evolution of the global travel industry as it enters a new phase characterized by innovation, collaboration, and connectivity.”

He further explained that “The Next Frontier” highlights how technology, partnerships, and creativity are transforming the ways people explore, connect, and experience the world.

“It invites industry stakeholders to discover new pathways for growth, sustainability, and digital advancement. At TRAVCONEXPO 2026, we will spotlight the endless opportunities that arise when travel becomes truly interconnected, bridging destinations, cultures, and possibilities for a smarter and more inclusive future,” he added.

Gideon emphasised that TRAVCONEXPO 2026 serves as a crucial gathering point for stakeholders in Africa’s travel, tourism, aviation, and hospitality industries.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the event will focus on key topics such as governance, diverse revenue streams, and institutional alignment. Its goal is to provide tangible benefits for sponsors, exhibitors, partners, and investors.

TRAVCONEXPO 2026 presents a strategic opportunity to enhance market access, boost brand visibility, and promote sustainable growth within the industry.

Discussing the mission of the MICE-driven program, Gideon explained that it encompasses a wide range of areas to equip travel professionals with essential skills while connecting the public with diverse travel opportunities. The event aims to celebrate and elevate the brightest minds in the industry.

“We are future-driven with a clear vision to become a premier global platform where travel entrepreneurs thrive, driving the evolution of tourism and fostering meaningful connections among stakeholders.”
