Tiger Woods has expressed his determination to compete at the 2026 Masters, insisting he will do everything possible to make an appearance at Augusta.
The 15-time major champion is currently recovering from back surgery undergone last October and has not played a full competitive event since The Open Championship in 2023.

However, Woods recently returned to action in the TGL, an indoor golf league he co-founded with Rory McIlroy, featuring for Jupiter Links in the final against Los Angeles GC.
Now 50 years old, Woods is targeting a return to elite competition at The Masters, which tees off on April 9 at Augusta National.
Speaking about his fitness, Woods admitted to the physical challenges he faces at this stage of his career.
“This body… it doesn’t recover like it did when it was 24 or 25. It doesn’t mean I’m not trying,” he said. “I’ve had a couple of bad injuries over the past few years that I’ve had to fight through, and it’s taken time. But I keep trying. I want to play.”
Woods, who has a storied history at Augusta, emphasised the emotional significance of the tournament.
“I’ve loved the Masters since I was 19. It means a lot to my family and me,” he added. “I’ll be there either way, with The Loop and the Champions Dinner, but we’ll see how it goes.”
He confirmed he will continue practising and playing at home in a bid to build fitness ahead of the season’s first major, as he eyes a potential return to one of golf’s biggest stages.
