Whitecrust Investment has announced key changes to its executive leadership, elevating Ruth Olabode to business development manager and appointing Ademola Ajibade as chief financial officer.

The appointments signal the firm’s transition into a more aggressive phase of digital transformation and retail financial services, according to a statement released by the company.

Olabode’s promotion comes after two years with the organisation, where she previously served as sales activation manager. During her tenure, she played a central role in optimising sales strategies and building high-value client relationships that have supported the firm’s recent growth.

In her new role, she will oversee both Public Sector Lending and the company’s retail investment management unit, a newly created division designed to deepen Whitecrust’s presence in the retail investment space.

Olabode holds an Executive MBA from the Rome Business School and a master’s degree from Universidad Internacional de Valencia. Her professional experience includes roles at First Bank of Nigeria Plc and Access Bank Plc.

Meanwhile, the appointment of Ajibade as chief financial officer brings more than 20 years of experience across commercial and microfinance banking. As CFO, he will oversee treasury management, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Ajibade is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)-certified microfinance professional.

Ajibade is tasked with overseeing treasury management, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Kingsley Eremionkhale, Whitecrust’s managing director, FCA, noted that “Olabode’s elevation is a direct reward for her unwavering competence and significant contributions to the firm’s infrastructure, most notably her leadership in launching the company’s mobile and core banking applications.”
