Jetour, a Chinese automobile manufacturer, has introduced its flagship sport utility vehicle, the G700, a hybrid-powered model aimed at combining high performance, off-road capability and luxury features as competition intensifies in the premium SUV segment.
The G700 is powered by Jetour’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O system, which combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors. According to the company, the powertrain delivers a combined output of 904 horsepower and 1,135Nm of torque.
According to the manufacturer, the large SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.6 seconds despite measuring nearly 5.2 metres in length. They also estimated a combined driving range of up to 1,400 kilometres.
The model is designed to balance luxury with off-road performance. It features adaptive suspension, triple differential locks and a range of off-road assistance technologies intended to help drivers navigate challenging terrain.

Jetour added that the vehicle has a wading depth of about 970mm, allowing it to pass through relatively deep water compared with conventional sport utility vehicles.
In terms of design, the G700 adopts a box-shaped exterior with matrix LED headlights and a large grille intended to give the vehicle a strong road presence.
Inside the cabin, the SUV is equipped with a 35.4-inch 3K panoramic display, Nappa leather seats with massage functions and an 18-speaker Lexicon sound system supported by Dolby Atmos technology.
Other features include an in-vehicle refrigerator capable of cooling beverages to –6°C or heating drinks to 50°C. The model also offers a built-in oxygen supply system intended for high-altitude travel.

Jetour stated that some variants of the vehicle include advanced off-road assistance systems designed to support driving in conditions such as deep mud and sand.
The G700 reflects the company’s ‘Travel+’ concept, which focuses on long-distance touring and passenger comfort.
In Nigeria, the model will be available through authorised dealerships including Elizade Nigeria Limited, Kojo Motors, Mandilas Motors, R.T. Briscoe Motors, New Era AutoVehicle Services Ltd, Germaine Auto Centre and Tab Autos Ltd.
Industry analysts stated that the introduction of high-performance hybrid SUVs reflects a broader shift among automakers seeking to combine electrified powertrains with traditional off-road capability in order to appeal to buyers looking for both efficiency and performance.
