Governor Hope Uzodinma to city boy movement: ‘I will support you to succeed’

The Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodinma on Thursday, assured members of the City Boy Movement that he would make all necessary commitment to see to the actualisation of the aims and objectives of the group.

City Boy Movement is an All Progressive Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support structure, educating the Nigerian masses and beyond the efforts of President Tinubu in government and at the same time, mobilising, galvanising and empowering thousands of Nigerian youths to self-sustenance and enterprenuership.

The governor pledged the support at the Government House, Owerri, when members of the City Boy Movement paid him a courtesy visit.

The governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, noted that the group was doing an amazing job which is consistent with ideologies and programmes of the shared prosperity administration in the state.

While highlighting the achievements of the shared prosperity administration, especially in talent hunt, youth training, empowerment and engagement, the Governor informed that many dynamic Imo youths are willing to join the laudable organisation, demanding that they should be well accommodated.

He thanked the group for coming to empower thousands of Imo youths, a testament that Imo state is truly and strongly connected to the center.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the various renewed hope initiatives, providing direct impacts to the people and strengthening the nation’s economy.

The governor appreciated also, the son of the President, Seyi Tinubu for the wonderful initiative, mobilising fellow youths, galvanising and empowering them.

He, however, challenged the group to preach peace and unity, as they go about their activities across the country.

The group’s National President, Francis Tosin informed the governor that City Boy Movement was on ‘Renewed Hope Tour in Imo State, aimed to bring more Imo on board their moving train. He further stated that they came to seek approval and support from the governor, to enable their empowerment exercise in the state, tomorrow, targeted to empower about 7000 Imo youths.

Tosin submitted by praising the giant strides of Governor Hope Uzodinma in Imo state and his enviable posture at the national scene, especially, his commendable leadership of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
