In appreciation of the female folks, especially women artists and their contributions to the society, TAAG Gallery is celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day with an all-women exhibition.

Titled ‘Art to Heart’, the show, organised by TAAG Gallery, will celebrate womanhood with works from nine female artists including; Susan John Onyedikachi, Joyce Josua, Adabeke Chisom Nicodemus, Faith Udoh, Naomi Oyeniyi, Tiffany Asikhia, Uhule Nguemo Martha, Comfort Olalemi and Caroline Akpoghene Useh.

The artists will converge to mark the International Women’s Day 2026 with diverse creativity, across female themes and dynamics of the 21st century.

Meanwhile, the all-female exhibition, showing on Artsy.net from March 7-18, 2026, explores the year’s International Women’s Day theme, ‘Give to Gain’. According to Rodney Asikhia, curator of TAAG Gallery, the exhibition gathers diverse artistic voices exploring identity, memory, womanhood, leadership, resilience, and intergenerational empowerment.

According to TAAG’s gallery statement, the ‘Art to Heart’ exhibition captures the ‘Give to Gain’ theme of the International Women Day, by reminding everyone that investing time, knowledge, mentorship, and support into women and girls, advances society as a whole. As the International Women’s Day platform affirms, “We can all give our support to gain advancement for women and girls,” this exhibition becomes a visual embodiment of that principle.

Explaining further, Asikhia stated, “Through painting, drawing, mixed media, and experimental approaches, these artists translate lived experiences into powerful visual narratives.” “Their works reflect cycles of giving—heritage passed from mothers to daughters, mentorship shared between artists, communities uplifting one another—and the profound gains that follow: confidence, visibility, representation, and lasting impact.”

The artworks on display include: A Quiet Place, dated 2025, by Faith Udoh; Lean On Me, 2024, by Susan Onyedikachi John; Nichodemus Bachelorettes, 2025, by Adabekee Chisom; and Lush Gaze, 2025, by Joyce Joshua, among others.

Also, on display are In My Thoughts series, dated 2022, by Naomi Oyeniyi; Limitless, 2023 by Uhule Nguemo Martha; Catastrophe, 2024, by Tiffany Asikhia; Her Mother’s Gift, 2025, by Comfort Olalemi; and Caroline Akpoghene Useh’s Comfort Ambiance, 2024.

The curator noted that the title ‘Art to Heart’ speaks to the emotional generosity embedded in each piece.

Asikhia commended the artists for what he described as giving “their truths, vulnerability, and cultural memory.” For the art appreciating public, the curator assured of collectors’ benefits of gaining “deeper understanding, inspiration, and connection,” to the themes. “It is a shared exchange—creative offering met with collective advancement.”

Being shown exclusively on Artsy.net online, Art to Heart, according to TAAG Gallery, expands the Int’l Women’s Day celebration. The exhibition being shown, deliberately in March, month of Women’s Day, is what the gallery said as “beyond physical borders, inviting global audiences to participate in the spirit of giving—by viewing, collecting, supporting, and amplifying women artists.”

To encourage further growth of creativity, TAAG urged art lovers to support the celebration to gain a stronger future for women and girls.

TAAG Gallery (Tribes Art Africa Gallery), is a platform dedicated to amplifying contemporary African and diasporic artists through exhibitions, art fairs, and strategic collector engagement across the United States and Africa.
