Several passengers being processed for arrival and departure at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos (MMIA) on Monday, ran for safety after fire gutted Terminal 1 of the Muhammed International Airport, Lagos
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), which confirmed the incident in a statement, stated that it “wishes to inform the public of a fire outbreak at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.”
The authority said its firefighting team is currently responding and working to contain the situation, adding that “No loss of life has been recorded.”
“Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available”, FAAN added
