Chelsea staged a late comeback to defeat West Ham 3–2 in a London derby at Stamford Bridge, with captain Enzo Fernandez sealing the victory deep into stoppage time.
Trailing 2–0 at half-time after first-half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville, the Blues were booed off by frustrated supporters following a dismal opening 45 minutes.

However, Liam Rosenior’s side responded after the break. Joao Pedro pulled one back to spark the revival before Marc Cucurella headed home the equaliser, setting the stage for a frantic finale.
Fernandez then capped the turnaround with a decisive strike in the 92nd minute, triggering wild celebrations and marking the first time in the Premier League era that Chelsea have come from two goals down at half-time to win a match.
Tempers flared in the closing moments, with West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo sent off for violent conduct as the match descended into chaos.
In what Rosenior had described as Chelsea’s “biggest match of the season”, the Blues showed resilience and character to secure another statement victory. The win lifts Chelsea into fourth place in the Premier League, overtaking Manchester United.
Rosenior has now overseen six wins from seven matches in all competitions since replacing Enzo Maresca, becoming only the fourth English manager to win his first three Premier League games, after Bobby Gould, Sam Allardyce and Craig Shakespeare.
The result follows Chelsea’s midweek comeback win over Napoli in the Champions League and further underlines their momentum under Rosenior. Attention now turns to Tuesday’s League Cup semi-final second leg, where Chelsea will attempt to overturn a 3–2 deficit against league leaders Arsenal.
