The Kwara State Government has vowed to sustain educational development, prioritising infrastructure upgrades and improved student welfare as part of broader efforts to strengthen teaching and learning across the state.

Lawal Olohungbebe, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, stated this on Monday while briefing journalists in his office at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Ilorin, the State capital.

Olohungbebe explained that the State Government had undertaken extensive renovations at Baboko Community Secondary School in Ilorin West Local Government Area, comprising five classrooms, six additional classrooms with offices, staff rooms and two toilet blocks, adding that at Comprehensive High School, Lasoju in Asa Local Government Area, the present administration renovated one classroom block and constructed a block of three classrooms with offices, all in Kwara Central Senatorial District

The Commissioner disclosed that a two-room laboratory at Senior Secondary School, Venra in Kaiama Local Government Area, would soon be handed over, alongside renovations at Senior Secondary School, Kenu in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara North Senatorial District.

Olohungbebe said renovation of three classrooms at Nawarudeen Grammar School in Offa Local Government Area and ongoing work at the examination hall of Idofian Grammar School in Ifelodun Local Government Area underscored balanced development across Kwara South Senatorial District of the State.
