Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest carrier and one of the fastest-growing airline brands in the world, is proud to announce that it will launch a new passenger service to Jizan, Saudi Arabia, effective February 1st, 2026.

The launch of this service expands Ethiopian network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to five joining Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh, and Madinah, offering enhanced flight options for its customers to and from the region across its extensive global network.

The new service will operate four times weekly as per the below schedule.

Speaking of the new service, Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO remarked, “We are delighted to add Jizan, a major coastal port city in the Kingdom of Saudi

“Arabia, to our global network, further strengthening our presence in the Middle East and Gulf region. The launch of this new service will significantly enhance trade, tourism, and people-to-people ties across our global network, while providing convenient flight options to and from Jizan to our valued customers. Ethiopian Airlines remains committed to further expanding and strengthening its connectivity between the regions and beyond.”

Currently, Ethiopian Airlines operates over 40 weekly passenger and cargo flights to Saudi Arabia, and 136 weekly services to 14 destinations across the wider Middle East and Gulf region, facilitating trade and tourism between the region and beyond.

In addition to its direct services, Ethiopian also offers flights to offline destinations through codeshares with multiple carriers in the Middle East and Gulf regions, including Saudia, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways, Gulf Air, and Etihad Airways, to provide more convenient and seamless travel options for its customers worldwide.
